Memorial Day
At 7:30 am local time on May 29 2004 Islamists disguised as Saudi police stormed facilities at Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation. After gunning down numerous civilians and security personnel the bandits managed to barricade themselves in an apartment block and take between 20 and 50 hostages.
Radio reports indicate that the Islamists then began sorting people based on their religion -- Muslims released, infidels detained.
The Nazi-like division of human beings based on religious conviction should galvanize everyone who is not a Muslim. It should shock and it should outrage.
No matter what happens to those detained there will be people -- infidels -- who still apologize and rationalize this kind of Islamist operation. They will justify their activities and goals. Yet Islamist goals as stated repeatedly in theoretical writings and operational manifestos are grounded in an extraordinary bigotry that has been fully condemned by the enlightened occident and far east for centuries.
But condemnation or not the most horrific examples of this kind of brutality happened in Europe. For the Germans of the Nazi era it was the Jews who were to be attacked and eliminated -- for they were not fully human. And eliminated they were. The Nazis divided the Jews from the true human beings, just like the Islamist soldiers in Khobar today have separated infidels from the true human beings -- the Muslims.
It's as if they hold Nazi Germany as a positive example.
For them, it is the infidel who is to be separated off. It is the infidel who is not fully human. It's the infidel who will be enslaved, expelled, or exterminated.
It's poignant and sad indeed that on this Memorial Day weekend we find that Islamists are involved in precisely the same kind of behavior that Nazis engaged in during Adolf Hitler's reign. The very activity that tens of thousands of US servicemen and women died fighting against during World War II.
The raids on Khobar should awaken all people who qualify as infidels in the vocabulary of the Islamist.
Infidels can sit quiet and watch as their fellows are slaughtered because they are not Muslims. They can rationalize that the victims simply shouldn't be in Muslim lands if Muslims don't want them there. They can even say the victims "deserved it" because they were stealing Muslim wealth -- a favorite claim made by the followers of imperialist theory.
And every one of those statments was said about the Jew in Nazi Germany.
I am not one of the infidels who will rationalize and apologize this Nazi-like activity.
I believe that Muslims should be outraged by what their fellow believers are fomenting from the Mosque, and acting on in the field. But I don't see that outrage.
Where is the anger they so readily express when someone criticizes Islam in a way they think is unfair? Where are the choruses of condemnation for the dehumanizing of entire hemispheres of this earth peopled by non-Muslims? I ask a simple question: when will a non-Muslim be able to live and work in Muslim lands without fear of being taken hostage or shot down or hacked to death or even beheaded by the living wardens of modern era Nazism -- Osama bin Laden and his loosely affiliated cadre of jackbooted Islamist thugs?
When?
If Muslims cannot or will not strike down this fascistic ideology then those who would be its victims have every right to destroy it -- by whatever means necessary.
